Kempower to deliver chargers for Allego’s network
Allego currently operates more than 34,000 public charging points across Europe, with a wide market reach into the UK, Germany, France and other countries. It already offers a range of charging speeds, including up to 49kW, 149kW, and 300kW. But it appears Allego now wants to expand its fast charging offering and has turned to Kempower to deliver this.
The two companies have reportedly been conducting pilot projects in Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands since 2013 and are now aiming for deployment later this year. The first Allego-Kempower charging sites will launch in Q3 of 2025 in Denmark and feature five Kempower 600kW triple Power Units paired with 30 Kempower Satellites featuring 375 A cables. It’s not clear whether the Satellites will feature one or two charging cables, although this will have an impact on the total kW power charging that users receive.
Following the Denmark sites, there will be deployments in the other aforementioned countries – with Kempower stating that “the rest of Europe will follow in 2026.”
Jussi Vanhanen, CMO of Kempower, said: “Becoming one of Allego’s preferred partners is a great milestone for Kempower. We share a deep commitment to enabling accessible, high-power EV charging across Europe. With our technology and Allego’s vast network expertise, we’re excited to bring robust and reliable charging to more drivers, starting with key sites in Denmark.”
